Welcome to Herington's Newest Neighborhood.

Enjoy the best in small town living with all the comforts of a modern, energy-efficient home. At last, you've found a great place for your family to call "Home."

Here you can still enjoy the stars on a clear winter night, watch those fantastic Kansas sunsets, follow a Summer thunderstorm on the horizon, or participate in a variety of recreational activities like camping, golfing, swimming, or fishing. And, since Herington is in the heart of Kansas' "Golden Triangle" (that lucky part of Kansas bordered by I-70, I-135 and I-35), you are just a few easy hours from Wichita, Kansas City, Topeka, or Salina where you can enjoy those "big city" comforts you want close-by.

So please stop and stroll around Logan Pointe for a few minutes. We think you'll like what you see. And, we look forward to having you join our community!

August 2008 Update

We're ready for you to come and pick out your lot!  FINALLY, the infrastructure work is just about complete. The streets, sewer, water and gas are all installed.  Electrical connections are being added now.  So this is a great time to come take a look at Logan Pointe! School is about to start and what could be handier (with the high price of gas) than living right across the street from the school!!  In a few weeks Iron Horse Development, LLC will begin construction of a new 1400 sq ft 3-bedroom home that you could move into before Thanksgiving!!!

Our first owner's home should be finished by mid-September. They'd love to have neighbors!

We held our street dedication on Memorial weekend in May.  Our streets are dedicated to three Herington area men that were killed as a result of wounds suffered in World War II.  About 50 folks and family members came to remember them. WWII.  Commander Ed Mueller and the Herington VFW post did a fantastic job with the ceremony.  The three families represented each received a note from former Senator Bob Dole calling out the service, dedication and sacrifice of the men.

May 2008 Update
Well, soggy is the word. Spring weather has been a bother.  The streets and infrastructure which were to be finished in March are now looking like late May for completion.  Iron Horse Development LLC - Logan Pointe Ground Breaking

Our first house is under construction!!! Ground was broken in early May and the owner hopes to be moving in by July.

USD 487 School District voters passed a new bond issue.  What does that mean for Logan Pointe? The entire school system grades K-12, the football stadium and new auditorium will be located right across the street.  We'll have the closest homes in town!!!  Your children can walk to school and you can walk over to their school and sporting events!  School construction should begin this fall and continue over the next few years.

While the national media screams about recession, our sources tell us the price of housing materials has actually decreased.  Interest rates are low now.  This is actually a good time to select your lot and build your new home!!

So, the right time is NOW to contact Karon’s Realty  so you can pick out a lot for your new home!!!   Only 26 lots remain in Phase-1.

February 2008 Update
A busy Spring 2008 is on the horizon for Logan Pointe and Herington Kansas!!!

Contractors have been busy over the long Kansas winter installing sewer, waterline, gas and electric service to the subdivision lots.  The streets will be next, and then it’s time for home construction!!

Our first lot owner is anxiously awaiting the time to dig a basement and get construction started on their new home!  Right now it looks like they will be able to take that first shovelful of dirt in mid-March.  Iron Horse Development, LLC will also be building the Lindenwood floor plan for their first  house.

This Kansas winter has been exceptionally long!! Lots of snow, ice, and rain coupled with wide temperature variations have slowed down our progress, but not our outlook.  The weather made for miserable working conditions.  We commend the contractors and Herington City Staff for their perseverance during the this Winter season.  And, we look forward to a great Kansas Spring!!!
